Our Full Heritage Tour brings the past vividly to life through a captivating blend of expertly researched storytelling, interactive exhibits, and cutting-edge technology. As you explore the beautifully restored rooms, you’ll encounter the fascinating characters who shaped both the house and the town around it, revealing the triumphs, ambitions, and secrets hidden within its walls.

Uncover tales of success, innovation, and transformation

Discover the remarkable story of the Stepney family, who transformed and expanded the house in 1714, establishing themselves amongst the most influential families in the region. Their wealth, drawn from the mining industry and links to the East India Company, helped shape Llanelli’s growing prosperity and left an enduring mark on the town’s development.

Journey onwards into the Victorian era, where the fortunes of Llanelly House became intertwined with those of the prominent Chambers family, founders of Llanelly Pottery. Against the backdrop of industrial growth and social change, visitors can uncover tales of success, innovation, and the transformation of Llanelli into a thriving industrial town.

Discover intriguing mysteries

Yet not all stories within these walls are ones of prosperity. Amongst the most intriguing mysteries is that of a young housemaid known as Mira Turner. Her tragic death shocked the household and left behind unanswered questions that continue to fascinate visitors to this day. As the story unfolds, you will be invited to examine the evidence and draw your own conclusions about the mysterious circumstances surrounding her untimely demise.

Through a truly engaging and immersive experience, history is no longer confined to books and display cases. With the aid of modern technology and interactive interpretation, the people who once walked these corridors are brought back to life, allowing you to experience the sights, sounds, and stories of Llanelly House in a unique and memorable way.
